What is Dirty Diamonds?
Dirty Diamonds is an award-winning all-girl comic anthology edited and published by comic creators Kelly Phillips and Claire Folkman in Philadelphia, PA. Founded in 2011, its purpose is to provide female and femme comic creators with a dedicated platform for sharing their stories.

Each of the 10 volumes features semi-autobiographical comics centered around a central theme, including Beauty, Imagination, Being, Sex, and Death. Over 200 creators from 20 different countries have contributed, showcasing their talents and unique experiences with the world.

All volumes of Dirty Diamonds are archived in the permanent Small Press Expo comics collection at the Library of Congress.

Dirty Diamonds was founded with the support of Carey Pietsch and Dre Grigoropol.
About the Editors
Kelly Phillips
Kelly is a cartoonist and publisher in Philadelphia. Her comics are frequently based on her own life and experiences. She is the creator of Weird Me, the story of her teenage years as the moderately successful webmaster of a "Weird Al" Yankovic fan site. Her other works include: Oh, The Things You Won't Know!, The Catalogue, and The Phantom of Eternia. 

She has been featured in anthologies including Drawing Power, Sweaty Palms, and The Illustrated Al. She likes cats and other space, and continues to channel her embarrassing personal history into comics as a cheap form of therapy.

Claire Folkman
Claire is an artist living and working in Philadelphia, PA. She creates out of Mercer Street Studios where she makes comics, collages, videos and costumes. She has been featured in Drawing Power and will appear in an upcoming edition of Smut Peddler. Co- editor and publisher of Dirty Diamonds.
